Summer or winter calendar?
Only a real differentiator under Option B. Under Option A summer is simpler. Under Option C the competition runs during European off-season regardless.
The Options
Summer calendar
Traditional US lower-division timing (April–October).
Pros
- +Maximizes attendance and outdoor viability
- +Lower venue costs
- +Less risky operationally
- +Aligns with most existing lower-division leagues
Trade-offs
- −Competes directly with MLB, NFL preseason, summer entertainment
- −Doesn't differentiate from USL

Winter calendar (August–May)
Aligned with global soccer rhythm and upcoming MLS shift.
Pros
- +Aligns with global soccer rhythm fans already live in
- +Avoids direct competition with MLB, summer entertainment
- +MLS shifting to July–May in 2027 — would be aligned
- +Structural differentiator under Culture Thesis
Trade-offs
- −NE weather November–March is brutal
- −+10-15% venue costs for indoor/heated facilities
- −Higher operational risk

Summer is best as it provides even more traction from MLS fans. This league could be treated like a ufl, where everyone watches this while MLS is on break. Ofcourse in a much wider scale.
